Deutsche Bank Openings for Freshers – AFC Control Testing – Associate

Job Description:

As an anti-financial crime (AFC) Testing Officer you will help protect Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses, incurred by financial crimes, by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. You will be directly responsible for executing tests of controls managing AFC risks at the direction of the Deputy Head of AFC Testing and Quality Assurance and the Americas Regional Head of AFC Testing and Quality Assurance. The results of testing will provide assurance that all Deutsche Bank policies and procedures, as well as regulatory rules, are followed and that the Firm’s AFC risk management framework is effective and sustainable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute AFC testing reviews according to an annual testing plan that meets applicable regulatory requirements, expectations, and guidance
• Set up testing work papers repository on shared drive at onset of reviews
• Prepare draft work paper templates, meeting/interview notes, reports
• Ensure that reviews are completed on time and that a robust review has been conducted
• Participate in periodic team meetings to report on the status of the testing reviews and pending questions
• Conduct fieldwork testing and assess whether any exceptions have been identified and the risk level of such exceptions

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Good understanding of relevant AFC global regulations and legislations
• Experience in AFC testing, audit, risk management and/or the financial services industry are a benefit and/or knowledge of financial products/services offered by wealth management, corporate and investment banking businesses is preferred
• Relevant experience in an AFC role within the financial services industry or in a reputable accounting/consulting firm
• Foundational knowledge of AML / sanctions / fraud / anti-bribery & corruption concepts and risk principles
