Job Description:
The Public Service Commission of Canada is responsible for promoting and safeguarding a merit-based, representative and non-partisan public service that serves all Canadians, in collaboration with stakeholders. PSC also manage the tools for public service recruitment, providing applicants and managers with a single portal to access all public service job opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development, integration and maintenance of internal applications using Java
- Provide support to clients on various issues thorough analysis, options and solutions
- Help build new features for existing or new application to enhance user experience and functionality
- Participate in testing and quality assurance tasks to ensure applications are accurate, robust, and accessible.
Job Requirements:
- Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed
- Basic experience with Java and JavaScript
- Experience with Python
- Ability to work with complex structures and queries
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience with testing automation
- Have knowledge of database languages (SQL, Oracle, MS-SQL, PL-SQL, T-SQL)
- Basic experience with Web Development
