Job Responsibilities:

This is an opportunity to work as a lead Java software engineer on a cross-functional Agile Product  team. Product teams build and support new features that create business value. Within your product team you’ll typically be working collaboratively on customer-facing features with other highly skilled engineers as well as BAs, Testers, Web Designers and User Experience specialists.

As a Senior Engineer you will have responsibility for the development approach and provide technical assurance on complex IT projects. You will also use your knowledge of software engineering to support the shaping of new projects and support the professional development of less experienced software engineers. You will work with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders which will require excellent communication skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Java8 and later.
  • Object Oriented and tiered design methodologies.
  • A structured approach to systems analysis and development.
  • Application frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Microservice Architectures.
  • Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Web technologies including HTML, CSS, advanced Javascript, Web Services.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
  • TDD, pair programming.
  • Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • REST API development and/or consumption.
  • Server side Kotlin.
  • Docker, Kubernetes.
  • React.js.
  • Jenkins, Gitlab CI.
  • Familiarity with NGINX, Linux/*nix and an understanding of large scale website architectures.
