Job Description:
We are now recruiting a Finance Assistant to join the team based at our Head Office at Sywell Aerodrome. We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, team player and who is able to support the effective running of the finance team.
Job Responsibilities:
- To support the finance team with calculation and presentation of timely, accurate, and relevant financial data
- To produce and distribute to Heads of Department weekly reports on Aged Creditors and Aged Debtors, ensuring these are accurate highlighting any key points that need to be escalated.
- Look to develop other weekly reports that are relevant to the wider company
- To process both external and internal sales invoices in conjunction with current processes, and ensuring timely delivery
- To follow up these Sales invoices for timely payment as required
- Reconciliation of PDQ income to customers. Reconciliations to ensure funds are released to the correct months
- To champion our Zahara purchase invoice system to ensure prompt processing, turnaround and resolution of any queries. Regular chasing of unapproved invoices.
- Reviewing purchase invoices for large/unusual invoices, escalating these as required
- Look to build a Preferred Suppliers List (PSL)
Job Requirements:
- Experience of working in a finance or accounting setting
- Support the team with knowledge, ideas and input into processes to maintain a positive level of change
- A great communicator who is able to liaise with Heads of Departments / Stakeholders to continuously improve the information coming from finance and build relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
