Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager Crew Programs, the RAP manager will be responsible for planning reserve availability periods (RAPs) as it relates to Crew Scheduling. The RAP manager position is not limited to just RAP planning but also provides important additional operational and systems support for Flight Operations Crew Scheduling. This position will play a vital role in the success and the administration of pilot coverage requirements while adhering to contractual and regulatory obligations. The successful candidate can work out of YUL or YYZ.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with Crew Scheduling as it relates to reserve availability periods.
- Develop and maintain monthly pilot reserve availability period (RAPs) planning for all fleets and bases.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Promote reserve utilization within the Crew Scheduling group.
- Optimization of pilot reserve availability period planning and assignment.
- Compile management information as required.
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly pre-planning
- Identify, investigate, report and follow any discovered systems errors.
- Interact and liaise with various departments (Training, Block Administration, Crew Scheduling, Rouge etc.).
- Provide Crew Scheduling Management with risk assessment analysis for pilot reserve coverage.
- Evaluate operational requirements and adjust pilot reserve availability periods as required.
- Provide effective and timely communication to pilots as it relates to scheduling or rescheduling of reserve availability periods.
- Test new functionality as it relates to crew scheduling applications.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
- Flexible and willing to work extended hours as required.
- Bilingual (level 3)
- Ability to produce and provide reports as required in relation to planning activities.
- Self-starter, task oriented.
- Experience dealing with a 24/7 operational environment.
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent and effective.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Netline Crew, ReportLink, IADP, and globe information system.
- Works well with team members and promotes collaboration within a team setting.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
- Understanding of crew scheduling practices within a global airline.
