Asos Internship – Supply Chain Analyst

Job Description:

This is an exciting and challenging role; we require someone who has an eye for detail along with love for numbers. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business recommendations by performing data analysis in excel, using SQL and other tools such Power BI. The main elements of role will include process automation using macros, data analysis, forecasting, reporting and working closely with our supply chain management team and internal stakeholders to improve operation and save costs. The ideal candidate will have an awareness of e-fulfilment supply chain.
Supply Chain manages all production, storage and delivery in the warehouses, as well as the flow of products from suppliers and brands. We make sure everything arrives at our Fulfilment Centre as it should. You’ll also get to work with Buying and Merchandising, providing them with training and support to make sure they make the right buying decisions. With over 100 brands and own buy suppliers to work with, you’ll make sure our products are reaching our customers, wherever they are in the world.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analysing Supply Chain operations data (stock profiles, returns rework efficiencies, delivery performance, parcel loss rates, customer contact trends)
• Producing carrier parcel collection forecasts and actual vs. forecast analysis
• Completing weekly Supply Chain reports
• Building competitor delivery services analysis and customer delivery experience analysis
• Providing data insights in customer contact trends vs. delivery delays
• Review customer returns processing efficiencies (including item reworks, job-offs)
• Producing ad hoc reports using SQL, MicroStrategy and Power BI
• Automating existing reports and processes by using macros in excel
• Improving data provision in Supply Chain by writing SQL queries
• Building databases
• Working with Data Services and Insight Analytics team to improve Supply Chain’s data provision

Job Requirements:

• Data Analyst experience preferred – You gotta love numbers at least!
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Power Point, Access) and Visio
• Very good understanding of Excel Macro, MicroStrategy, SQL and Power BI is essential
• The capacity to learn new systems quickly and thoroughly
• Interest in new technologies
