Job Description:
AXA Global Insurance Management (GIM) are excited to announce an exciting opportunity to join their IT team as an Infrastructure Engineer.
GIM is based in Droitwich and Coventry. From there, our small and dedicated teams of software developers and infrastructure engineers manage and support our Global Dealer Networking software. This means you’ll be based in both offices with occasional travel to the Data Centre based in Wolverhampton. Please note that the salary for this role is up to £33,400 + other benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Systematically and within SLA times carry out assignments originating from the support system ensuring outstanding call levels are kept to a minimum.
- To contribute to the planning of and take part in Windows and Security update nights which is an out of hours activity.
- To plan, manage and maintain Global ICT assets in desktop hardware and software
- To specify, recommend, provide, configure and implement many varied items of ICT equipment and supporting software
- To contribute to production of standard configurations, documentation and procedures
- To provide assistance and technical knowledge to aid implementation of Projects.
- Install, test and implement servers and associated equipment.
- To be responsible for reviewing and assessing new technology and systems
Job Requirements:
- Providing desktop and server support
- Configuring and monitoring email systems
- Current popular software applications
- Building and supporting servers within both an on premise virtualised server environment and AWS environment.
Qualification & Experience:
- You also have a degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Studies.
