Job Description: We are looking for a Project Manager to work with Project Leads across a number of large and high-profile projects to ensure successful delivery of regulatory, research and other projects. This is a cross-directorate role that will sit in the PPD’s Executive Director’s office, which is responsible for coordinating the running of the Directorate. Job Responsibilities: Resource planning and monitoring Planning and monitoring of projects Tracking and handling risks and issues for projects including working with Project Leads to identify contingency plans Reporting on project progress through highlight reports and briefings Provide challenge to Project Leads and the senior management team including recommending courses of action Act as secretariat for projects, co-ordinating with governance bodies and supporting bodies within the project structure such as working groups or steering groups Ensuring project audit trails Undertaking lessons learnt assessment throughout the projects and applying lessons learnt from other projects within PPD and the Bank Maintaining an awareness of dependencies and potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact(s) Collaborate with other project managers and project leads to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated Mapping out governance processes Job Requirements: Ability to work collaboratively with Project Leads and other key stakeholders such as Legal, Supervision and Technology. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills – experience briefing senior management. Risk and issue management experience (such as through RAID or Control Logs). Ability to constructively challenge Project Leads to ensure all required elements of planning and governance have been considered. Ability to be flexible and tailor project management approach to PPD needs ensuring balance between providing structure to the various projects and not overloading staff with overly heavy governance processes.
