Job Description:

The role holder in Mumbai is responsible for supporting the Electronic Business Management team and the newly created position is a testament to the growth of the Markets Electronic vertical. The growth in multi-asset electronic trading has become a permanent fixture in investment banks over the last 10-15 years and is actively being driven by client demand. This has brought about significant transformation to front office workflows, trading platforms and technological infrastructure. Equities and FX were first movers however changing microstructure, hunt for yield & the rise of passive investing are driving the electronification of Fixed Income & Credit markets.

The role holder is responsible for producing MI and analytics to enable the Electronic Business Management team to better understand financial performance, product KPIs & delivery milestones, cost discipline, and headcount trajectory. The role holder assists with the preparation of the Electronic Quarterly Business Performance review; helping to analyse market share, PnL and volume trend statistics as well as conducting performance comparisons with competitors. Electronic Business Management Support is responsible for other various BAU activities including, but not limited to, the tracking of Risk & Control issues, Resilience testing and ensuring minutes and agendas of SM&D governance forums are well documented and distributed in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide operating leverage to the Electronic Business Management team, supporting decision making, growth and future strategy of the businesses across relevant markets
• Act as a liaison with the Markets Digital Strategy team to ensure interlock of objectives and deliverables
• Work closely with the global business management teams to understand wider priorities and ensure they are reflected in the divisional agenda

Job Requirements:

• Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent (i.e. Finance, Management, Economics, Business, Computer Science)
• Understanding of what a Markets business does and the financial products it trades
• Direct experience in an analytical or MI support function
• Proficient in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word
• The successful candidate will have proven experience of:
  • Executing against tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Good Stakeholder communication skills
  • Evidence of successful collaboration in a global, geographically dispersed environment
• 1-2 years of experience in an analytical or MI support function
• Prior experience in data analytics, data visualisation, VBA or python programming is desirable
• Project management experience is an advantage
