Job Responsibilities:
- Accept bids and issue work orders to City contractors for violation abatement, junked vehicle removal, boarding unsecured structures and demolition of substandard structures.
- Provide administrative assistance with documentation and notices for the Building Standard Board.
- Communication daily with property owners, tenants, and other responsible parties on expectations to achieve compliance with applicable Codes and Laws.
- Create and Submit Purchase Orders.
- Research names and addresses of property owners, tenants, and other responsible parties to insure anyone with a vested interest is notified of a violation.
- Update case management systems (WebQA, INFOR, Maximo, NCAD, and GIS) with actions such as violation notices and citations sent, address corrections, and returned mail.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
- Enter new potential property into the case managements systems to be investigated by the assigned compliance officer.
- Process citizen complaints, direct the public to the appropriate personnel for assistance, and ensure appropriate follow up is performed.
- Create and Submit Requisitions.
Job Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- Requires High School Diploma or GED.
