Job Description:
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA), Survey Management and Analytics Group (SMAG).
As a Supervisory Social Science Research Analyst/Statistician (Survey) (Group Director), GS-0101/1530-15, you you will direct the management of survey activities designed to capture information from CMS beneficiary populations that is not available within other CMS data systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the staff-level work associated with managing the identification, development, and implementation of innovative survey data collection modalities and technological advancements.
Direct technical staff in the preparation and publication of analytic reports such as issue briefs and survey method reports that inform the Medicare Beneficiary Survey user community.
Serve as an advisor to the Group Directors and executives of various CMS components in the preparation of short, intermediate, and long-range plans for improvements to the Medicare program based on Medicare Beneficiary Survey findings.
Ensure that the Group’s work supports CMS’ and HHS’ strategic plans, mission, vision and values.

you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Lead or coaching a team on the implementation of large complex surveys and data collection activities; 2) Analyzing or serving as a subject matter expert/lead on large datasets of data from complex surveys (i.e. clustering, stratification, and weighting adjustments); AND 3) Presenting statistical or design findings to a diverse audience (i.e. internal leadership, external stakeholders, conferences, publications).
