Job Description:
£33,200 – £35,000 plus benefits (Grade E16)
It’ll be your job to plan and deliver communications and marketing content to promote Lonely Not Alone. You will work in partnership with the Foundation’s Comms team, external agencies and young people to develop online and offline storytelling, PR, acquisition and retention communications. You will work in line with our organisational ways of working and Comms team procedures to build the campaign within the Co-op Foundation, Co-op and Lonely Not Alone brands. You will thoroughly evaluate success using quantitative and qualitative data and recommend improvements.

We’re looking for a passionate campaigns officer to tell the story of the Co-op Foundation’s Lonely Not Alone campaign. Lonely Not Alone is our campaign to tackle the stigma of youth loneliness. It’s informed by Foundation research that shows only 36% of young people feel confident talking about loneliness and even fewer think society treats the problem seriously.
Five-month fixed-term contract
Job Responsibilities:
plan and deliver communications, marketing, PR and campaigns to promote the Lonely Not Alone brand, and its impact
* contribute to campaign creative development in partnership with external agencies and co-design teams
* contribute to Lonely Not Alone social media output, using evaluation and best practice guidance to deliver consistently on-brand and high value content
* support the creation of case studies and storytelling to promote our campaign brand
* lead on all acquisition and retention campaign marketing, including corporate sponsor comms and partner newsletters
* work in partnership with Foundation comms team to make sure that our Lonely Not Alone output is aligned to and amplifies both brands
* build relationships and work collaboratively with Co-op to promote the impact of Lonely Not Alone to colleagues and leaders
* lead on all necessary admin and reporting for 2021 campaign, including post-event evaluation
* lead on campaign partner engagement planning, building the profile of Lonely Not Alone with policy makers, funders and the charity sector
Job Requirements:
experience in marketing or communications and a track record in gaining local, trade and national media coverage
* experience of rolling out campaigns across a range of channels, including internally with colleagues
* experience of running and contributing content to social media channels and websites
* the ability to evaluate analytics to improve learning and output
* previously worked closely with agencies or third parties to create content or campaigns
* experience of running acquisition and retention campaigns to grow a campaign supporter base
