This person will ensure the quality of the software through manual and automated testing of Costco Logistics application systems and will deliver high-quality test solutions by applying appropriate technologies, QA best practices, and Costco’s quality standards. They are instrumental in defining, documenting, implementing, and maintaining the testing framework. The QA Automation Analyst will be collaborating with the product team members (Product Owners, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Engineers, Vendors, Business Users, etc.) to define and document testing strategy, testing plans, types of tests, test environments, and tools to be used for testing in a fast-paced agile environment. This person will be responsible for identifying the test cases for manual and automation testing, defining and documenting the test requirements, developing and executing manual and automated test scripts, and analyzing the results. Job Responsibilities: Collaborates with various IT & business teams in developing and executing test strategy. Develops and executes test plans to ensure that all objectives are met. Designs and develops automation frameworks and associated test scripts and tools. Implements and monitors automated and manual test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product and report test results and metrics. Identify and remedy defects within the production release process. Recommends, implements, and monitors preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved. Applies quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product/Waterfall Project lifecycle. Mentors other automation Analysts or members of the QA team members. Provides accurate estimates and statuses for assigned tasks. Ensures ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements. Maintains and supports automated testing tools as needed. Job Requirements: 4+ years’ hands-on experience with scripting and executing automated tests required, with expertise in leveraging the diverse capabilities of modern programming languages (C#/.Net, Java, Python). Advanced software testing background through extended quality assurance experience including documentation, processes, manual/automated testing, automation frameworks, quality assurance tool sets, and performance testing. Driven and passionate about quality assurance, software development, and agile methodologies. Proficiency in the test script and framework component development with this core toolset is essential to success. Experience in working with relational and NoSQL databases is preferred. Experience with Web Services and external-facing web applications is preferred. Experience developing and sustaining automated frameworks and scripts for automated functional testing. Excellent skills in analysis and problem solving, good development practices, troubleshooting, debugging, and code maintenance. Strong work ethic, positive attitude & excellent collaboration skills. Excellent Organizational skills with effective verbal and written communication.
