Job Description:
The Divisional Manager of Asset Protection, Process will be responsible for the development of strategies related to retail loss mitigation across all LOB’s including in store and Supply Chain. They will be responsible for identifying retail loss trends and risks as it relates it theft and fraud activities, store, supply chain, as well as operational gaps including interconnected loss. The Divisional manager will support and lead the development of divisional strategies to reduce loss working collaboratively with, but not limited to Store Operations, Merchandising, Field Operations, Field AP team and Supply Chain leaders. Consistent and strong relationships with other Divisions is a priority as the Divisional Manager is responsible for understanding and bringing forward strategies in place within the Home Depot Enterprise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide analytics to drive effective decision making all levels within the organization
- Lead, develop and train AP Merchandising Manager, Supply Chain AP Manager, and AP Systems & Vendor Relations Manager
- Collaboratively develop strategies to mitigate loss
- Identify retail loss trends as they relate to operational, theft and fraud, supply chain and interconnected lines of business,
- Liaison with Canadian Operations and IT groups on asset protection projects and processes
- Collaborate with, but not limited to merchandising, store operations, field AP, and District leaders, to ensure shrink strategies, goals and objectives are met
- Oversee AP Expense budgets, updates on Internal/External Policy Guidelines and AP Contracts
- Responsible for the leadership and development of a team of direct reports, as well as driving a collaborative environment by engaging with
- Senior and District leadership teams from Merchandising and Operations.
- Develop, execute and lead processes and procedures that that are executed in the field and Supply Chain to mitigate losses and simplify processes
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization
- Experience managing shrink and operational metrics, P&L and other financial metrics an asset
- Proven ability to guide business decisions and influence others through effective analysis and communication of data
- Background in either of store operations, merchandising and/or asset protection
- Exceptional Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office knowledge required
- Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+ Meets Expectations)
- Ability to effectively communicate complex reports, data, and processes in a simplified manner to a broad audience
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects to completion
- 5+ years of management experience (ideally in a retail environment) with emphasis on merchandising, store operations and/or asset protection
- Bachelor’s degree in retail management, business administration or an equivalent degree
- Ability to analyze situations and resolve issues with innovation and creativity
