Job Description:

The Delivery Head – Strategic Data Tech Programs will work closely with the Data Technology Executive Management team and be responsible for executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration on matters related to the Group Data Technology Office and the Office of the MD for the Hyderabad Tech Sites, HSBC Technology. The Chief of Staff will have oversight on key programs related to Data Technology and have an immediate impact on managing key technology programs, communications between the team, streamlining strategic initiatives, and governing effectively. Position reports into the Group CTO for Data Technology and the MD of the Hyderabad Technology sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Linux, Windows Systems Administrator for a DevOps infrastructure systems engineer role; developing, releasing and supporting automation with Linux and Windows based server environments, services and APIs.
• Write Linux/Windows infrastructure as code to automate and streamline tasks. Building orchestration automation capabilities to support the execution of operational activities.
• Work across one or more application development environments on the Linux / Windows platform with restful web APIs and Mulesoft.
• Collaborate with other infrastructure, engineering, application and support teams.
• Distribute Compute (DC) Build & Deploy (B&D) function.
• The candidate may need to provide non-office hour operation support for global counties local IT teams escalated hardware & OS build issues.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Working across various cultures and geographies.
• Knowledge of Databases such as Oracle, Sybase or DB2 would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with IT Infrastructure delivery and related process would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with toolsets for building and documenting APIs such as Swagger, OpenAPI, etc
• Able to work independently, under least supervision.

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience of source code management (GitHub / Bit Bucket) would be an advantage. Also experience of JIRA/Confluence.
• Must have 3-5 years’ experience of Web API to build RESTful APIs and scripting in Python, Perl and/or Shell for data management tasks.
