Jet Employment – Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description:

The shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for the shipping and receiving duties required for the Jet Aviation Palm Beach FBO and its based tenants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivers mail/packages to tenants daily.
• Responsible for learning who the tenants are, and where their offices are located on the property and assisting them with any shipping and receiving need.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties for both internal and external customers.
• Receive outgoing shipments; properly package outgoing shipments to prevent damage, and process items for immediate shipment.
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
• Responsible for contacting tenants if they have deliveries that require pick-up/ship-out.
• Other duties assigned as necessary.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Assist other departments, as needed in other duties, during slow times and during season.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to multi task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
• Exceptional phone and communication skills required as well as the ability to interact with vendors and customers alike.
• Must have knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and written.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of Jet Aviation management and employees.
• Experience in packing shipping and receipt of hazardous materials or formal training, preferred.
• Must be able to prioritize receiving and shipping requirements based on immediate need.
• Must have ability to do percentage mark up on parts and materials and some knowledge of basic geometry and fraction skills is desirable.
• Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year background check and a 7 year criminal check.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
