You will serve as a Senior Systems Engineer in the Systems Engineering and Engineering Methods Branch of the Engineering Directorate.

Job Requirements:

In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level using system engineering tools and procedures to develop and manage system performance and interface requirements so system meets technical objectives; perform systems analysis and trade studies; and oversee systems integration and verification; AND Experience in the development, design, test, and evaluation of external systems related to aerospace flight vehicles and their operation; AND Experience providing technical guidance on traditional Air Traffic Management (ATM) procedures and systems, including emerging airspace operations (Urban Air Mobility and Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems), public data sources such as FAA SWIM data feed, services design and development, and use of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques and procedures.
