Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to join the Division of Intramural Research (DIR) at NIMHD. This fellowship position is funded by Judy and Peter Blum Kovler Foundation for one year.
Job Responsibilities:
Fellow will be based in NIMHD DIR and will work with the Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) against COVID -19 Disparities Initiative, which dispels misinformation and builds trust in many racial/ethnic minority and underserved communities about COVID-19, clinical trials, vaccines, and science in general. CEAL focuses on outreach, education, and engagement with community-based organizations in the dissemination of minority health and health disparities research and best practices. Fellow will focus on outreach, education, and engagement with community-based organizations and key stakeholders to support the science and dissemination of research and best practices in addressing minority health and health disparities.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must have completed a PhD in public health, epidemiology, social or behavioral sciences, nursing, communication science, or related field or have completed a professional degree in a health care field (M.D., PharmD, or DVM). Candidates must have knowledge about and preferably experience in population-level epidemiology, minority health, health disparities, social determinants of health, or community-engaged social and behavioral intervention research. Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and analytic methods and/or computer programming (e.g., SAS, R) are preferred
