The successful candidate will be a direct contributor to the execution of new product development programs related to optical sensing systems that will lead to the expansion of Micatu's product portfolio. To learn more about MICATU, please visit https://www.micatu.com/ <P> Specific Technical Knowledge: <li>Lead efforts within DfX in collaboration with engineering and production teams, to define and advance new internal methods, as well as establish and maintain best practices guidelines to improve efficiencies in product development and new product launch activities (X Manufacturability, testability, costs). <li>Identify manufacturing processes and design methods for improvement to deliver best-in class solutions, reduce cycle times and improve yields. <li>Bill of Material specification and analysis of component Life cycle review, compliance, and conformance. <li>Supply chain, assembly, serviceability, fabrication knowledge or opto-electronics and mechanical packages <li>Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) team and manufacturing operations to assist with automation, fixture, equipment design for high precision and intricate manufacturing. <li>Apply quality principals to ensure components are manufactured and controlled from the raw material through final assembly. <li>Drive failure analysis, closed loop corrective action, and design modification requirements with suppliers. <li>Actively communicate with Engineering and production teams. <p>Requirements: <li>Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent <li>Experienced in designing for high-volume manufacturing strongly preferred. <li>Preferred experience Opto-electronic and Opto- Job Responsibilities: mechanical assemblies. <li>Advanced CAD experience.
