Patagonia Hiring – Senior Inventory Accountant

Job Description:

As the Inventory Accountant you are responsible for analyzing, reconciling, and reporting on inventory related activity for North America across wholesale and Ecommerce channels. For this role you will need to bring experience in variance analysis, month-end close including booking journal entries and account reconciliations and reporting for internal management reviews. You must have an aptitude for systems and drive a culture of continuous improvements in the accounting function to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and overall performance of the Inventory Accounting Group.

Job Responsibilities:

You will oversee all aspects of inventory which may include reviewing costing, overhead, and ensuring accurate input in the ERP system, monthly reconciliations and rollforward, and monthly reporting. You will have a solid knowledge of inventory accounting principles as well as an understanding of inventory control principles. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively and also work well cross functionally across the organization
