SunIRef:Manu Duties Summary This position is located in the Programming Division of the Office for Overseas Programming and Training Support (OPATS). The position reports to the Supervisory Programming Specialist. OPATS partners with and directly supports the Peace Corps three regional offices, Africa; Europe, Mediterranean and Asia; and Inter-America and the Pacific to set standards and respond to programming, training and evaluation needs. Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource in all areas related to project design, implementation, monitoring, learning, adapting, and reporting on Agriculture programs. Provides a global perspective, serve as a conduit for sector information and resources to posts, and assists with the development of effective programming and training strategies, including the development of strategic objectives, related policies and procedures, and supporting documentation. Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Reviews data, conducts analyses, and advises on findings from project status reports and other project data including progress towards targeted outcomes, trends, challenges and promising practices to inform Agriculture programming. Training Course Development and/or Consultation

Job Requirements:

  • ssists with assessments of formal and non-formal training and development activities globally, and assists with the development of effective new strategies, including the development of strategic objectives and supporting documentation. Participates in project reviews of Agriculture programming which involve significant institutional policy issues, indicates strengths and weaknesses of proposals, and seeks to improve institutional arrangements and structures in order to promote growth and development. Participates in inter-agency Global Food Security strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting. Resource Curation and Dissemination
  • Identifies, curates, and makes available relevant and current Agriculture sector resources including policy and strategy documents, technical resources, and best practices to support of posts’ resource needs. Travel Required Occasional travel
