Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join the People Team! Reporting to the People & Process Manager, you will be supporting with the delivery of an excellent HR service. Working as part of the People Operations team, you will play an integral part by acting as the point of contact for Head Office and Store colleagues, providing support with all HR related processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing Company Maternity Process including issuing paperwork, updating Oracle and communicating with Payroll
  • Managing Long Term Sickness absence, including issuing paperwork, arranging Occupational Health where necessary, assisting with capability meetings etc.
  • Assisting with Disciplinary and Grievance processes, including being first point of contact for colleagues, advising employees and managers, assisting with investigation and disciplinary / grievance meetings
  • Advising colleagues on our River Island processes and policies
  • Assisting HR Business Partners with various queries and requests from their areas of the business
  • Working closely with Payroll to assist with any pay queries and changes
  • Manage various reports including FTC, Right to Work, Absence and others; preparing data to share with other areas of the business
  • Assisting with IR35 process including conducting CEST assessments, setting up off payroll workers on the system and issuing relevant paperwork
  • Assisting with People Operations inbox and acting as the first point of contact for all River Island colleagues for HR-related queries

Job Requirements:

  • Similar HR operational experience, working as part of a HR Team/HR Shared Services
  • CIPD qualified or currently studying
  • Relevant experience within a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of using HR information systems, ideally including Oracle
  • Experience of managing projects end to end with successful delivery
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to plan, organise and review activities to meet deadlines, re-prioritising when necessary
  • High attention to detail
  • A positive outlook to changing requirements
