Together we will continue to do so in the years ahead. Job Responsibilities: This role manages the content strategy and copy delivery across all River Island communications. Working cross-functionally, it requires both a marketing and publishing mindset with a keen attention to detail and timescales. Key areas of focus: Oversee the delivery of engaging and persuasive copy for River Island, championing the brand tone of voice and ensuring all language informs, entertains and inspires River Island customers Propose and develop conceptual solutions for marketing campaigns that both express the brand personality and meet the brief’s objectives Oversee content planning, determining stories and content forms required across campaign, BAU and ad hoc channel activations A strong background working with long and short form copy is key, as well as experience in campaign ideation and execution. The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a team. Job Requirements: Produce original copy across brand, product and corporate communications (internal & external). This includes marketing campaigns, social, website, blog, email, display and print Embody the brand tone of voice, adhering to the TOV style guide in all communications. Ensure a sound understanding of brand tone across teams through roll out and refresh sessions Respond to each new brief with creative freshness and compelling ideas, aiming to elevate River Island’s presence in content and copy executions Work closely with the Brand & Creative teams to create engaging ideas and develop the content strategy for channel roll out Seek out trends and content ideas that are interesting to the River Island audiences, and help inform and amplify brand activity and ideation Identify gaps in communications plan to respond to relevant customer moments Exercise a strong understanding of customer journeys and SEO best practice in all activity Manage the content and copy team, delegating clear tasks and guidelines, maintaining a consistent workflow and excellent standard of work Ensure copywriters deliver best practice in grammar, messaging and writing style.
