Job Description: This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). This position is located in the Small Business Administration, El Paso Disaster Loan Service Center in El Paso, TX. This position supervises and develops a team of Loan Specialists while serving as technical expert/resource for a full range of loan collection, servicing and liquidation activities for Center portfolio. Job Responsibilities: Serves with authority for planning, assigning and reviewing work of employees; setting and adjusting short-term priorities to assure production and accuracy requirements are met; advising, counseling, and instructing employees on production and technical matters. Gathers and reviews facts and dates relating to the loan balance, lien situations, collateral of other interests' creditors, and any assets of the borrower which may provide recovery to the Agency. Serves as a technical expert for employees. Provides guidance regarding the handling of particularly difficult or sensitive assignments. Provides motivation to individual employees and encourages them to be full participants in accomplishing their work and meeting time requirements. Ensures that high level of customer service is provided to all of SBA's clients. Provides well written reports and documentation as needed in the performance of incumbent duties. Communicates effectively with members of the general public, banking industry, legal, and other professionals and representatives. You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period. Due to COVID-19, the SBA is currently in an expanded telework status. If selected, you may be permitted to temporarily telework from a location outside the official duty station described in this announcement.
