Job Description:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of the stores department and to act as a liaison between Purchasing, Maintenance, Quality Control and Vendor(s) to take ownership and be accountable for parts inventory accuracy, and cycle counts, computer transactions, conflict resolution and facilitate corrective action to quality escape issues of parts for the Technical Operations Department in an expeditious manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in issuing Repair Orders to the Vendor(s) as required
- Lead and facilitate the physical organization and storage of inventory and cycle count process
- Oversee the Quarantine and SOS (Save our Spares) processes and procedures
- Analyze AOG activity and recommend additional stock levels as required
- Monitor, track, and ensure all warranty due the company is collected and processed accordingly in the TRAX system
- Establish and maintain notable and consumable asset management, administer inventory processes and procedures, and provide oversight control of all movement of inventory associated with the daily logistical flow of the operation
- Ensure accurate accountability for all appropriate assets
- Analyze AOG activity and recommend additional stock levels as required
- Daily communication with all Bases to mitigate possible missing inventory
- Liaise with Vendor partners for Consignment inventory reconciliation
- Assist in the coordination and response for immediate AOG and imminent MEL parts demand requirements
- Reports to Vice President of Maintenance
- Make necessary purchase recommendations to the AOG Desk Buyers and VP of Tech Ops and Stores
- Verify all rotable parts issued to the aircraft are returned and verified in the computer system on a daily basis
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimums and maximums of stocked inventory items
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of computerized inventory tracking processes Background in Tech Ops, Finance +/or Supply Chain Previous airline/aviation
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Data entry and PC knowledge. Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Knowledge of a computerized inventory tracking system Excellent oral and written communication skills
