This job is afulltime, benefited, FLSA Exempt – Administrativeposition in the Human Resources Division that reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. Job Description Summary: Under general supervision of Vice President of Human Resources the Human Resources Coordinator – Recruiting is responsible for all activities for the entire recruiting cycle, including sourcing, vetting, presenting the best candidates to hiring managers, and making offers, etc. This person will also be responsible for assisting in the development of recruiting strategies and advising hiring managers on practices that support the goals and direction of the institution. Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College. Competencies: * Knowledge of Human Resources best practices * Knowledge of state and local policies and processes * Knowledge of state and federal employment laws * Great organization and time management skills * Ability to communicate effectively and influence others * Ability to juggle multiple requisitions at one time and work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to adapt to new technology * Resilience and being open to feedback * Maintaining a positive attitude * Team-oriented approach yet having the ability to work independently * Being accountable for performance and results Duties/Responsibilities: Percentage of Time: Source, attract, screen and qualify candidates to present to hiring managers for potential employment. Follow up with candidates as necessary as they move through each phase of our selection process. 40% Attend career fairs and college recruiting events for recruiting and company recognition. Network through industry contacts, association memberships and trade groups to identify potential candidates. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting 5% Maintain regular follow-up with managers to get updates on their staffing needs, feedback on candidate interviews as well as the quality of candidate referrals; make the appropriate adjustments 10% Schedules all interviews and prepares job offer letters as requested by hiring managers 20% Facilitate the post-job offer, pre-employment process 5% Prepare and send the Personnel Action Request forms to hiring managers 5% Attends seminars, conferences, job-related training, and/or other staff development training programs. Participate on college committees when necessary 5% Maintain recruiting reports weekly, monthly and annual. Including the affirmative action plan and managing organizational chart 10% Physical Demands: Frequency (N)Never, (O)Occasionally or (C)Constantly Requires operation, access, or control of financial resources.
