Job Description:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will primarily move materials from the warehouse to the production floor, office area, or other areas of the factory. The successful candidate will accurately receive, verify, inspect, count, and stock materials according to procedure while interacting with employees of all levels in different areas of the factory. This position is for 2nd shift -2:30pm-12am M-Thu/2:30-11pm Fri

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection of material needs in different areas of the factory
  • Maintain close adherence to warehouse safety standards (e.g., PPE, proper conveyance equipment etiquette, etc.)
  • Dispatch/transfer/deliver/return material from warehouse to production floor, office area, or other areas of the factory
  • During business hours, respond to calls and inquiries concerning materials, shipping, receiving or other logistics related activities
  • Maintain accurate and detailed material records and logs
  • Load and unload materials onto or from carts/pallets/racks, for movement or storage, by hand or using equipment
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts
  • Maintain good housekeeping and proper safety practices in work area
  • Receive, verify, inspect, count, and stock materials according to procedure

Job Requirements:

  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to plan, organize and manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines
  • Able to stand or walk for most of the scheduled shift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, and prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Flexibility to be assigned additional duties as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to regularly climb and reach
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required
  • Ability to operate, pallet jacks, or dollies as appropriate
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Work as a team player, interacting with employees of all levels in different areas of the factory
  • Experience operating a counterbalance type fork lift preferred
  • Prior experience accurately completing data entry into ERP system desired
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
