Tesla Internships – Project Manager

Job Description:

The Solar Roof Project Manager (Project Manager) is responsible for facilitating projects through the construction lifecycle from the planning stage to implementation and execution. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the customer, subcontractors, and internal Tesla teams to ensure each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and on target.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform site visits when necessary to review site conditions and ensure follow-through of work completed by subcontractors and/or internal teams
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics among customer, subcontractors, and internal Tesla Operations Teams
• Oversee bill of materials, material ordering, logistics, and project schedule
• Primary project owner from customer signature through construction
• Provide constructive feedback to Operations Managers on process improvement opportunities
• Create Project Plan outlining logistical operations, site setup, and other project specific details

Job Requirements:

• Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities
• Ability to work cross-functionally in collaborative team environment
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM software
• Preferred 3+ years Residential Solar, Construction/Home Improvement, or Project Management experience
• Friendly and approachable
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to communicate information effectively both verbally and written
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple high complexity projects simultaneously
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
• Ability to make important decisions under pressure
• High School Diploma or equivalent education
