Job Description: City Carrier Assistant I.DUTIES: Deliver and collect mail on foot or by vehicle under varyingroad and weather conditions in a prescribed area; maintains professional andeffective public relations with customers and others, requiring a generalfamiliarity with postal laws, regulations, products and geography of thearea. Uses portable electronic scanner as instructed. Some clerical duties maybe required. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. This is aphysical position where you will need to be able to walk, bend, stoop andmove at a fast pace.SKILLS REQUIRED: No specific skills required.OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Qualified applicants must successfully pass apre-employment drug screening to meet the requirement to be drug free.Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.Must have a valid state driver's license, maintain a safe driving recordand at least two years of documented driving experience.
