Are you looking for a fulfilling position with the Commonwealth of Virginia that will utilize your knowledge, skills, and experience?  Look no further!  The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as a part-time (wage) Human Resource Administrative Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia.  Telework options are available. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week (1500 hours per wage year) with no benefits.  This position will be responsible for performing professional duties and providing high-level administrative support to the Human Resources Division.  If you want to be part of an anti-racism agency that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion, we’d love to have you join us

Job Responsibilities:

· Provide support with recruitment and selection activities to include: utilization of the Recruitment Management System in the hiring process; screen applications; schedule interviews; establish/maintain recruitment files; prepare interview packets/documentation; ensure completion of all recruitment checklist items.
· Coordinate records management, follow records retention, file, maintain employee’s personnel files.
· Prepare orientation packets for new hires, order publications for packets, provides support for new employee orientation sessions.
· Assist with performance management process as needed during the annual performance cycle to include sending Employee Work Profiles (EWP) and Job Function Analysis (JFA) and tracking the returned items verifying current versions are saved electronically.
· Provide support with Time, Attendance, and Leave monitoring ensuring timesheets are submitted and approved each week.
· Assist with coordination of special employee programs and events to include service awards.
· Assist with agency Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
· Assist with other HR related areas as needed.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of HR functions and a general familiarity of HR policy and procedure.
Experience managing confidential information as it relates to personal data.

Interview candidates may be required to demonstrate the skills and abilities necessary for satisfactory performance of work. The candidates selected for the positions must successfully complete a criminal background investigation and complete and submit a Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) which will be entered into the Federal E-Verify system to confirm identity and work authorization. The individuals may also be responsible for submitting an annual Statement of Personal Economic Interest. The anticipated starting salary is $20-$25 per hour.
