Job Description:

To provide and support effective and efficient engineering at ABZ, that meets the operational requirements in a sustainable and safe manner.

Responsible for ensuring that the relevant line maintenance at ABZ is carried out on time, in full, and to the required standards. Line maintenance is categorised as, meet and greet support, daily and weekly inspection, flight log and crew reported defects, out of phase and scheduled maintenance.

Engineers will be rostered on a shift system based on 7 on 7 off shifts, as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager. The role is predominantly DAY shift work, but shift times are subject to change as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager or the Line Station Controller.

Hours are subject to change dependant on operational requirements, and are at full discretion of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is completed IAW company procedures and the relevant maintenance documentation, technical logs and work orders, are completed and returned to technical records.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are handled and stored correctly.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper handover procedures are completed iaw the MOE.
  • Ensure company premises and vehicles are maintained and good housekeeping standards are achieved at all times. Report any building/facilities defects to the maintenance manager.
  • Be well informed about valid instructions, regulations and maintenance information.
  • Keep current with the approved working schedules, company procedures, requirements and any authorisation ratings held for the work performed.
  • Engineers are responsible for ensuring their airside passes, driving permits, and airside vehicle permits are kept valid
  • Carry out any other such reasonable duties as the company sees fit in accordance with the responsibilities of the position

Job Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Possess confident and effective communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Minimum 5 years Aviation Engineering experience
  • Must be Proactive, self-motivated & confident self-starter
  • Ability to make good judgements based on the needs of the company operation, in a very fluid, fast changing environment.
  • Proven problem solving and Planning & Organizing skills
