The Software Engineering Division, Science Data Systems Branch (Code 586), seeks an experienced individual to serve as a Software Systems Engineer for NASA’s Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) project. The incumbent will be responsible for providing the information architecture vision for the future, conceiving and directing ongoing evolutionary development by leveraging current and emerging technology.

Job Requirements:

In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify at the GS-14 level you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level leading a specific science data system or sub-system element such as data processing systems, data distribution systems, data query systems, and/or end user system interfaces to implement current software technologies.
