As a Developer in our Salesforce Center of Excellence, you will work across the enterprise to help Delta achieve its greatest possible success with the Salesforce.com platform. It’s critical as a member of the COE to be a standard-bearer for best practices, Salesforce knowledge, and making Delta a better place.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion development and integration standards, best practices, and their related deliverables
  • Aim to deliver processes and components that can be maintained by the business into the future using native features and functions whenever possible
  • Design, develop, and deploy Apex classes, triggers, test methods, and Lightning web components to meet the business’s requirements
  • Participate in the creation of documentation to ensure that no component or process is a black box
  • Optimize and improve existing Salesforce implementations so that every team is achieving the maximum benefit from their investment in Salesforce
  • Work to continually understand the new features added to Salesforce’s products and aid the business in regression testing as needed to avoid disruption from any Salesforce-side upgrade
  • Support off-hours problems when they arise
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles

Job Requirements:

  • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
  • High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency
  • Act with urgency and a sense of ownership in the broader scheme of Delta’s success
  • At least 2-5 years of enterprise experience developing in Salesforce.com products
  • A strong desire to leverage native Salesforce functions and to adopt scalability as a core design principle in all projects
  • Works well with individuals at all levels of Salesforce experience
  • Exposure to diverse lines of business utilizing Salesforce in different ways
  • Able to clearly articulate the pros and cons of why you would use a particular method to achieve a solution
  • Unafraid to offer suggestions if there may be a more efficient way to do something
  • Deep familiarity with building integrations between Salesforce and other platforms using Apex REST APIs or other integration ETL tools
  • Experience debugging components and code built by other developers and understand how to get to the root of the issue
  • Comfort working remotely as COVID-protocols remain in place with an understanding that a return to the office will come
  • Salesforce Certifications are great and Trailhead badges are good, but real-world experience in Salesforce and other platforms is best
  • Experience with or demonstrated willingness to learn Salesforce marketing cloud, particularly how to build integrations to populate data extensions and trigger journeys
  • Experience with Agile framework methodologies, Version1, and test automation in the force.com platform
  • Strong collaborative history working with business partners, other developers, architects, and teams managing other programs and projects
  • Leading the establishment of standards in a federated Salesforce governance model
