Job Description:
Support the Popular & Useful Service Strategy by planning and scheduling the key Strategic Projects across all Category areas. Co-ordinating themultistage process steps for over 900 individual single site projects in 2025. Working cross functionally across the whole business co-ordinatingshort and long term activities to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget. Creating and Maintaining the Popular and UsefulServices strategic activity planner, scheduling workload to create a high productivity environment. The role is dynamic and requires teamwork,organisation and decision making within a Framework.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading the ongoing development and enhancement of Popular and Useful Services processes
- Showing customer centricity in all activities, ensuring all initiatives benefit the end customer Colleague
- Identifying new solutions and/or market shifts and seeking alternatives where necessary
- Positively influence continuous improvement across the wider team, bringing drive, energy and pace to procurement activity
- Engagement with colleagues at all levels to gather requirements and manage timescales for the delivery of Popular & Useful Strategy
- Maintaining credibility and relevance, supporting a reputation for delivery, so that the Popular and Useful Services team becomes trusted advisors and are acknowledged as a value add function.
- Demonstrating adherence to internal controls, including adhering to relevant procedures, keeping appropriate record
- Partnering with stakeholders to plan and sequence the multistage processes and provide an effective Popular and Useful Service.
- End to end project management of all processes
- Maintaining credibility and relevance by keeping abreast of market intelligence and new ways of working
- Ensuring ongoing governance in specific projects and wider category management
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and inspire confidence when faced with uncertainty, change and challenge Operational
Job Requirements:
- Strong project and time management skills, demonstrating assertiveness when required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within cross functional teams.
- Consulting with senior internal stakeholders to understand complex business problems and influencing procurement development
- CDM regulations
- Programme management qualification, e.g. APM Competence Framework, or Prince2 (desirable), or demonstrable equivalent experience (required)
- Knowledge of Popular and Useful Services best practices, category management, SRM techniques and end to end strategies
- Strong knowledge of Morrisons’ Project Management Framework
- Advanced computer literacy (Google and Microsoft applications
- Driving meaningful results for Morrisons, ensuring the end customer receives excellent service through consistent supplier outcomes
- Experience of engaging with internal and external expertise to drive value through procurement initiatives
