Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Aerospace Engineer. Selected candidates will serve as Project Formulation Managers (PFM) in the Project Formulation and Development Office. You will lead formulation teams and apply project management discipline to forge executable plans from early project concepts. PFMs work directly with scientists in the pre-formulation project phases and their efforts help establish the future work at GSFC.

Job Requirements:

In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level leading the development of systems requirements, mission concepts, cost estimates, resource loading, and schedules for aerospace projects; ensuring contractors and team members are operating within cost and schedule commitments; and leading risk management appropriate for mission class and project resource constraints.
