Job Description:

• We are seeking a Python Developer for a contract development role in our Data Engineering Department at Two Sigma. You will be responsible for creating data entry and business process screens using the python-based toolkit Anvil. Understanding of web based UI construction with React, Angular, or other Javascript framework is a plus. This will include developing GUI’s and back end-services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect and implement user requirements
• Analyze existing back-ends written in Java and SQL
• Implement functionality to Python by calling services written in Python and SqlAlchemy
• Write unit and integration tests
• Generate GUIs in Python using an existing the Anvil full stack framework

Qualification & Experience:

• Fullstack Python development experience
• 2+ years Experience developing Web applications with React, Angular or other Javascript frameworks
• 2+ years of Object Oriented Programming experience
• 2+ years of SQL experience
• Ability to read and understand Java and SQL
• Academic training in Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, networking, computer systems, etc.
