Job Description:

The Benchmark and Index Control Group (BICG) within Risk is a second line control function responsible for index- and benchmark-related controls bank-wide. BICG maintains an effective risk management framework comprising standards and policies, control execution and monitoring as well as analysis and reporting, building on a strong interaction with the business divisions and other control functions. You will be joining the BICG team which is a central function mandated to provide a global coverage for a number of controls on indices and benchmarks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with Benchmark Usage, Administration and Contribution Oversight
  • Project management for Global benchmark inventory, InterBank Offered Rate (IBOR)/ Risk-Free Rate transition support, and responsible for maintenance of existing tools and controls
  • Regulatory guidance advisory for Deutsche Bank businesses, and Deutsche Bank and non Deutsche Bank Index users (Trading, Structuring, Sales, Research, Asset Management and Wealth Management)
  • Contribution to Non- financial risk management fora and providing support and inputs to Coverage other Risk teams
  • Regulatory Change – Benchmark and Sustainable Finance regulation implementation, control design and execution (daily, monthly and quarterly)

Job Requirements:

  • Broad asset class / product knowledge with direct or indirect experience in Indices / Benchmarks space. Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Management, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst or Environmental, Social and Governance certification is an advantage
  • Interest in regulatory developments and reforms (International Organisation of Securities Commissions [IOSCO], United Kingdom and European Union Benchmark Regulations, MIFID II, Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferrable Securities [UCITS], Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations [SFDR], Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive [AIFMD] etc.) and adaptation to changes in regulation and auditing standards
  • Pro-active, ambitious, creative, reliable and motivated team player to fit a dynamic and diverse environment
  • Able to maintain attention to detail whilst multitasking and working under pressure, able to work in hybrid structures (Change the Bank / Run the Bank) and to explore different communication channels
  • Familiar with Bloomberg or Reuters data sources, Python, Excel / Access (Visual Basic Application, SQL) / Tableau is an advantage
