Job Responsibilities:

This role contributes to Starbucks success by administering Starbucks leave of absence benefits and time off plans and communicating information about them to Starbucks partners.

Job Requirements:

Conducting analyses of plan design and utilization. Collaborating on policy/plan design changes and assisting or managing the implementation of design changes to facilitate benefits administration and support Starbucks culture, business needs, and budgetary goals. This includes requests for proposal (RFP) project tasks, analysis, and implementation work.
Serving as a role model and mentor to benefits and leave of absence team members, and assists in their development;
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the systems and technology that support the administration of Starbucks benefits programs, and participating in their maintenance and development.
Auditing leave of absence benefit plans to ensure compliance with benefits and insurance practices, federal and provincial legislation, and regulations. Assisting in the development of audit processes. Participating in related testing and reporting projects.
Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external business partners as part of the management of day-to-day plan administration and special projects.
Identifying and implementing process changes to Starbucks benefit plans. Enhancing partner service, making more efficient use of resources, and supporting Starbucks culture and business needs. Serving as project lead or supervisory role for special leave of absence benefits projects, including systems upgrades and changes, and communications to internal and external partners.
Facilitating large-volume day-to-day leave administration, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), return-to-work (RTW), and accommodations.
