Job Description:

Our cashiers are in the unique position of being the final point of contact with our customers, and having the opportunity to leave a lasting impression by providing friendly and courteous service as they accurately and efficiently check out customers’ orders. If you enjoy interacting with people, a cashier just may be the right job for you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Directing customers to an appropriate manager when necessary
• Scanning and/or ringing customers’ purchases
• Bagging customer orders
• Collecting payment for customer transactions
• Providing friendly and attentive customer service
• Stocking supplies in the immediate area, returning shopbacks, retrieving carts, and miscellaneous cleaning and straightening of various shelf sections as needed

Job Requirements:

• Ability to maintain a friendly and courteous manner and promote sales through excellent customer service
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, and scale
• Ability to handle money, checks, and other media, and the ability to distinguish between various forms of currency
